Welcome to Year 3

The children have made a great start to Year 3 today, there were lots of smiling faces!

We will have PE on Tuesday and Friday so please can children come in their PE kits on those days. When possible we will be outside, so please make sure they have warm enough kit.

Children have brought a spelling list home today with their spellings for this half-term. These are also on Spelling Shed for them to practise. SPELLING TEST IS ON FRIDAY.

Children may bring a snack to eat in the morning before break. Please ensure this is fruit or vegetable. (In KS2 free fruit is not provided).

Reading homework will be set on SeeSaw. Please respond to this weekly.

Please try to read with your child daily, this only needs to be for a few minutes. This is really important to develop their confidence and fluency.

Today your child has brought home a plastic wallet. They have a bookmark with strategies to help with reading skills. On the back of the bookmark are your logons for Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars. If you have any problems with these please let me know.

There is also a large sheet with their new See Saw logon.

We are really looking forward to a great year. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Mrs Williamson, Mr Campbell, Mrs Beardmore, Miss Warwick, Mrs Clayton

Please ask for help if you are unsure. Your child has times tables set individually.

Please encourage your child to practise their spellings on spelling shed, it's a great way to learn.

If you have any problems please let us know.
